Internet Time

iPhone Internet Time (iOS)

The iPhone app is a full world-clock and time-display experience: multiple visual styles, rich sound options, optional weather on the main face, a time zone picker, a dedicated time converter, and settings that sync to the watch over Watch Connectivity.

Time display & styles

• Time Type — Standard (local wall time for the selected world clock), Internet (Swatch .beats, Biel Mean Time), or Both.
• Style — Digital, Analog, Binary, or HourGlass animated visualization.
• Internet time follows the in-app note: beats are based on UTC+1 (Biel Mean Time).

Sound & haptics

• Chime frequency — None, Half Hour, or Hour.
• Chime sound — Big Ben, Grandfather, Westminster, Cuckoo, or Ship Bell.
• Tick sound — None, Watch, or Pendulum.
• Play Locked — When enabled, chimes and ticks can continue with the app in the background / device locked (subject to iOS scheduling); when disabled, audio is stopped when the app leaves the foreground.
• Hourly haptic feedback — Taptic at the start of each hour (device local time) while the app is active or when Play Locked allows the timer path to run.
• Volume — App volume as a percentage of system volume.

Appearance

• Separate pickers for Tint and Background colors (with validation so tint and background cannot match).

Weather (WeatherKit)

• Optional Show weather on clock face — current conditions and outlook aligned with the selected world clock, consistent with the watch face presentation.
• Weather Attribution link where required.

World clocks & tools

• World Clock / Time Zone Picker — Manage cities, current location, and ordering.
• Time Converter — Full-screen conversion workflow (optional Open Converter on Startup).
• Startup — Optionally open the Converter or Time Zone Picker on launch (mutually exclusive).
• Time conversion tools — Quick links from Settings where implemented.

Other

• Games — Accessible from the main UI where exposed (e.g. world travel / metric time missions).
• About — App information and legal/footer content.

Watch Internet Time (watchOS)

The Watch app focuses on glanceable time across multiple watch faces, optional weather, fullscreen mode, and hourly haptics that can use scheduled local notifications when notification permission is granted.

Watch faces (clock styles)

Cycle faces with the toolbar control. Order in the app:

• Digital — Compact digital readout; works with Standard / Internet / Both (from Settings → Time Display).
• Analog (subdials) — Subdials analog layout.



• Analog (classic) — Same analog family without subdials (toggle via the style cycle).



• Tourbillon — Ornate mechanical-style face; weather can integrate in this layout.



• Golden Dragon — Dragon artwork, ruby markers, snake hands, optional fire effect (tap), sound toggle, optional hourly dragon breath (separate from global hourly haptic).





• 64 Complications — 8×8 grid of micro-readouts (astronomical/calendar-style data); calendar row mode configurable in Settings to show your cultural calendar for all time zones, or vary the calendar as you select time zones.

Display & appearance (Watch)

• Time Display — Cycles Standard → Internet → Both (same semantics as iPhone).
• Background — Cycles preset colors (black, blue, green, red, orange, purple, gray, pink, teal, mint, indigo).
• Fullscreen face — Expands the face; double-tap to exit; tap time zone to cycle world clocks.

Weather

• Show on watch face — Forecast strip on faces that support it.
• Weather Attribution.

Time zones

• Default time zone — Picker for which world-clock row drives the face.
• Manage World Clocks — Same underlying list as iPhone (via app / connectivity).
• Tap the time zone line on the face to cycle cities.

Haptics

• Hourly haptic feedback — Tap at the top of each hour (watch local time). With notification permission, delivery can occur when the app is not active, when the display is dimmed, or when the watch is locked, subject to system rules; if permission is denied, the tap only occurs while the app is open and active.

64 Complications — calendar mode

• Calendar Displayed — Time Zone (territory-mapped cultural calendar), Islamic, Chinese, Śaka (Saka), or Hebrew; in-app help explains how each mode affects the cultural row 5 on watch face.

Phone & Watch together

• Settings such as time display type, chime/tick/play-locked/volume/hourly haptic on the phone are pushed to the watch via Watch Connectivity when values change.
• World clocks can be synced so both devices share the same list context.
